  • CHC Instructional Technology Program

We prepare instructional technology practitioners who work in learning and development for corporations, non-profit institutions, teachers and specialists in K-12, and consultants and faculty of higher education.

The graduate program in Instructional Technology is based upon the belief that successful learning professionals deeply understand the learning process and base choices on comprehensive knowledge regarding technology and the future of a global society.

    1. Marianne Semchuk Says:

The topic of my thesis”Use of Interactive Electronic Whiteboards in the Classroom” is a qualitative research study. The purpose of the study is to observe, collect and analyze data on how teachers are integrating the IWB into their curriculum. Schools are spending thousands of dollars a year to purchase and install this technology, so how are the educators using the IWB’s?
The method of research will follow the Phenomenology approach, which focuses on the “essence of the experience”. The researcher’s position is both as an observer and participant. When conducting the research it is what emerges from the experience. It is an inductive study process where the outcome is what is observed through “cognitive representations.”
